Hepatoma Research is an international, peer-reviewed, open access online journal dedicated to hepatoma, encompassing its occurrence, development, diagnosis, and treatment. It also covers a broad spectrum of basic and clinical research areas, such as statistics, epidemiology, public health, surgery, internal medicine, cell biology, pathology, pathophysiology, immunology, genetics, and pharmacology. The journal emphasizes the carcinogenic mechanism of hepatoma, particularly the impact of HBV evolution on hepatocellular carcinoma, the development of biomarkers for liver and biliary tract cancers, and therapeutic strategies including animal model research, liver transplantation, molecular targeted therapy, immunotherapy, interventional therapy, and drug development. It also welcomes epidemiological studies on liver and biliary tract cancers, focusing on risk factors, statistics, survival, prognosis, predictive models, and preventative measures, with a special interest in cohort studies and randomized controlled clinical trials.
