Journal of Xiangtan University (Philosophy and Social Sciences) is a bimonthly academic and theoretical journal hosted by Xiangtan University since 1977, mainly reflecting the results of the university's liberal arts teaching and research and facing the whole country and even the world. The journal adheres to the guiding ideology of Marxism, follows the basic line of the Party and the spirit of relevant resolutions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and encourages academic diversity. In recent years, the journal has won a number of honours, including being named a core journal of Chinese social science journals in China, one of the top 100 social science journals in the country, and a first-class journal in Hunan Province, etc. It has also been included in the CSSCI, Peking University's ‘Chinese Core Journals List’, and China Academic Journals Comprehensive Evaluation Database.
