Founded in February 1955, Journal of Central China Normal University (Humanities and Social Sciences Edition), under the Ministry of Education, is a national comprehensive academic journal of humanities and social sciences. It was first published in 1978, entered the ranks of Chinese core journals in 1995, was selected for the Ministry of Education's Famous Journals Project in 2006, and was awarded the title of journal funded by the National Social Science Foundation in 2012. Its content focuses on social reform and cutting-edge theories, and is committed to academic innovation and dissemination of high-level scientific research results. In recent years, the journal has undergone significant internationalisation, releasing special issues in English since 2013, and collaborating with Springer Germany in 2014 to publish globally using the open access format, demonstrating its influence and reputation in the academic world.
