It covers the latest developments of theoretical and applied researches in the fields of chemical industry and engineering. Chemical Industry and Engineering has been chosen as a fixed periodical to be abstracted by several foreign and domestic databases, including CA, CAS, IC, CAJCED, CJFD, Chinese Sciences Citation Database(CSCD)，Abstract of China chemical engineering, etc. At present, all articles of the journal can be retrieved through China Journal Network.

《化学工业与工程》《Chemical Industry and Engineering》创刊于1984年，是天津化工学会和天津大学主办的化工类学术期刊。现为双月刊，国内外公开发行。《化学工业与工程》为中文核心期刊、CSCD收录期刊、中文科技核心期刊、RCCSE中国核心学术期刊A。收录本刊的数据库有：北大《中文核心期刊要目总览》、中国科技论文统计源期刊、中国科学引文数据库（CSCD）、中国学术期刊综合评价数据库(CAJCED)、《中国核心期刊(遴选)数据库》、《中国期刊全文数据库(CJFD)》、《中国科技期刊数据库》，Scopus数据库、美国《化学文摘》(CA) 及美国《剑桥科学文摘》（CSA）等。《化学工业与工程》连续几年被评为天津市一级学术期刊，多次入选全国石油和化工行业优秀学术期刊。
