Six cases are described to illustrate the clinical and radiological features of diffuse h˦matogenous involvement of the lungs by secondary malignant growths. Confusion with acute phthisis is not uncommon; but the older age and infrequency of h˦moptysis, the relatively slight pyrexia, the radiological appearances in the lungs and sometimes evidence of a primary growth are distinctive features.
