Abstract
The article in this issue by Ralph et al. (2022) on the “ Development of a clinical framework for the assessment of dyskinesia and function in the upper limb in children with cerebral palsy ” is another positive step forward in ensuring more consistent and accurate assessment of children with dyskinetic CP. This article highlights the complexity of dyskinetic movement disorders seen in children with CP, the predominance of upper limb dyskinesia in this population and the correlation the presence of dyskinesia has with poorer functional outcomes.
