Somatic Mutations of TP53 Identified by Targeted Next-Generation Sequencing Are Poor Prognostic Factors for Primary Operable Breast Cancer: A Single-Center Study.

We followed up for 31 (range, 1-39) months and observed 11 (5.0%) recurrences: nine were <i>TP53</i> mutant and two were <i>TP53</i> wild-type. Multivariable analysis revealed that <i>TP53</i> mutation was an independent prognostic factor for recurrence (<i>p</i> = 0.012).
