Cyrillo-Methodian Tradition in Czech Society in the 21st Century. The presented study aims to clarify the perception of the Cyril and Methodius tradition in Czech society in the 21st century. The authors of the study tried to identify how widely spread is the legacy of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, depending on gender, age or place of residence of the Czech Republic inhabitants. The survey was attended by 1,125 respondents from the Czech Republic, of which 57.55 % were women (N = 648) and 42.45 % were men (N = 478). The age distribution of the research sample was very variable. In the research sample, Christian denominations were represented in 47.87 % (N = 539), Jews in 1.07 % (N = 12) and others in 2.93 % (N = 33). Without religion were 48.13 % (N = 542) of interviewed participants. The results of our research point to the current state of perception of Sts. Cyril and Methodius’ legacy among Czechs, and the need to promote education about them, especially among young people. In conclusion, we can state that knowledge and information about the Cyril and Methodius tradition in the Czech society in the 21st century is sufficient.
