Abstract
The paper conducts theoretical studies of literary sources containing a theoretical definition of the components of cutting forces, cutting depths for each of the passes when threading and tolerances for a given degree of accuracy. As a result of the study, a method for determining the number of stripping passes when cutting metric threads was revealed.
