By analyzing the ideological characteristics of the film-based cinema, it would be identified the factors that cause ideological characteristics and the process of the ideological effects. This research compares the elements of film-based cinema to virtual reality cinema, which is produced the ideological characteristics. Based on this comparison, this research confirms whether the ideological characteristics exist or not into the virtual reality cinema. Furthermore, it would be focusing on the new ideological characteristics of virtual reality cinema by using the two important notions “field of view” and “latency”. This research unearths the process of ideological effects on virtual reality cinema, adapting two social theories “Habitus” and “Champ” of Pierre Bourdieu.
