Abstract

Recent improvements in polyimide film manufacturing technology have resulted in standard products having higher and more uniform physical properties. Also, other new manufacturing technology has provided the ability to modify the classical product to provide special features, such as heat shrinkability for better conformation to irregular shapes; improved thermal conductivity for better heat dissipation; electrical conductivity for various uses ranging from anti-static to electrical heaters. Details of product modifications and end uses are discussed.
