Health-Related Quality of Life Among Women with Ovarian Cysts

Sampling: A convenient sample was selected from 200 women with ovarian cysts. Data collection tools: 1) Socio-demographic Questionnaire. Quality of life was assessed with the 36-ItemShort Form Health Survey; 2) Physical and biological assessment; 3) Numeric pain scales and 4) Quality of life in women with ovarian cyst. Results: The results of the study revealed that the majority of women in the age group 17-50 years. Most of them complained of abdominal heaviness and fullness and loss of appetite, respectively. Moreover, most of them had moderate and severe pelvic pain, respectively. Also, more than half of them had severe pain that interfered with their normal physical activities. Moreover, most of women had average level regarding psychological and physical health. Conclusion: Health Related Quality of Life was significantly decreased in women with ovarian cyst.
