Abstract

Reduction in the output voltage due to dead band in between switches of voltage source converter is always challenging for the researcher. Dead band elimination solves the purpose, but it requires exact zero crossing of voltage source converter (VSC) output current. This paper deal with the dead band elimination in shunt active power filter (SAPF) operation. Here, along with power quality improvement, VSC is used for photovoltaic source integration. For the grid synchronisation Modified second-order sequence filter- frequency locked loop (Modified SOSF-FLL) is used. The proposed strategy is simulated and verified in MATLAB.
