Scalable Web-based Application for Dynamic Multi-Tenant Hotel Reservation Management

Abstract

Conducting the work to set up a dynamic hotel reservation management website requires not only technical skills but also a modern information systems approach and various processing and dissemination tools. The major software companies are targeting their offers mainly to classic hotel management. One market underserved by these companies is the bed and breakfast community. Our application is targeting those small companies or even individuals offering a geographically dispersed, multi-tenant management platform. Our paper presents a hosted architecture that is designed having as first requirement a highly scalable application. The application has to handle an important load represented by the volume of user traffic, from here resulting the technical decisions taken.
