Abstract
The etiologic agents of mycoses of man and animals are arbitrarily characterized as “dimorphic fungi” existing in saprophytic and parasitic forms. Developmental patterns of some of the pathogenic fungi are described and illustrated. In a synoptic table, the fungi are arranged in taxonomic order.
