Abstract

Energy infrastructure is part of the life support of the region. The article substantiates that the development of intelligent networks is an urgent task in the development system of the smart region. The priority is the use and implementation within the framework of the Smart Grid system. This concept is perceived as a combination of technological, organizational and economic solutions in the construction of energy systems of the future. This concept combines elements of adaptation, automation, monitoring, and optimization based on modern information, telecommunications, and Internet technologies. The purpose of this work is to consider various aspects of the possible implementation of the Smart Grid intelligent energy network. The article examines the advantages of the intelligent energy grid over the traditional energy system, identifies the reasons that slow down the development of the intelligent energy grid system in the regions of Ukraine and constitute a high level of risk. An analysis of international experience and investment projects of smart networks in some EU member states was carried out.
