Abstract
The article deals with the difficulties in technical translation of documents related to the oil-extracting industry from Korean into Russian language. Particular attention was paid to the stylistic features of the Korean technical documents. In addition, ways of terminology derivation processes in the Korean language have been described. Based on the translation of the offshore Berkut platform technical and economic assessment (Sakhalin-1 Project) the difficulties in terminology variations have been discussed and ways to improve translation have been proposed.
