The case consists of a business scenario to provide background information, details of the unique operating characteristics of the Paws and Claws Veterinary Clinic, a description of the functional business requirements, and sample data. The case provides sufficient information to create a moderately complex REA conceptual business process model for the revenue and collection cycle of a service-oriented business. Students should be able to convert the conceptual REA model into an Access database, populate it with data, and then develop a series of queries, forms, and reports that satisfy the stated functional requirements of the clinic.
