Accurately understanding the semantics of interface icons is a part of efficient information retrieval. Questionnaires and behavioral tests are commonly used to measure icon understanding. However, biometric indicators have also been developed to measure icon understanding. The neural indexes of interface icon understanding were studied by measuring event-related potentials (ERPs). The stimulus 1-stimulus 2 paradigm was adopted in this study. 60 participants were divided into two groups and carried out icon recognition experiments independently in the laboratory.
