Abstract
Risk-based water safety interventions aim to ensure safe and reliable drinking water supply from source to consumer. In Nepal, water safety plans are increasingly being adopted, but evidence of their effectiveness in remote areas is still weak. This study presents new evidence on the effectiveness of risk-based water safety interventions in rural areas by analysing their effect on water quality, infrastructure reliability and users’ perception.
