An efficient back to back transition from Quasi TEM mode of microstrip line to SSPP mode has been designed by etching a gradient corrugated structure on the metal strip; while keeping ground plane unaltered. SSPP wave is found to be highly confined within the teeth part of corrugation. Complementary split ring resonator has been etched in the ground plane to obtained multiband bandpass filter response. Abstract
