Because single ridge waveguide is relatively small in size compared to rectangular waveguide at the same operating frequency, the spacing of array element is reduced and the scanning angle of array is greatly increased. Simulated results show that the maximum scan angle of the proposed antenna is 30°. Abstract

A novel 1D dual-polarized phased-array antenna based on single ridge slotted waveguide array is presented in this letter. The antenna works at X-band, and it is comprised of sixteen alternately arranged broad-wall and ridgewall slotted array.
