Abstract
Integration of Photovoltaic system to grid through voltage source inverter is presented in this paper. The PV-grid system is connected to nonlinear load. To reduce the harmonics due to nonlinear load, a filtering technique is employed. This is nothing but one voltage source inverter which act as active power filter. Incremental Conductance based MPPT is employed which gives the reference value of dc capacitor voltage for the voltage source inverter. PID controller is employed to track reference dc link voltage. Computation of the reference source current is based on the calculation of the active component of current. The actual source current and reference source current are compared using adaptive band hysteresis controller. The value of hysteresis band which depends up on the system parameter, for which constant switching frequency is obtained. The complete system illustrates that the PV system is integrated to grid with reduced harmonic distortion of 4.25% at unity power factor.
