Abstract

This paper is based on the state of the art of smart grid; it specifies the definition and the characteristic of the smart grids by focusing on the infrastructure responsible for the expansion and the implementation of the Smart grids. We present in this paper, the emergence of the centralized architecture to the decentralized one with distributed production and bidirectional communication between producers and consumers. This paper invokes the problematic of the Smart grid and present the used model and methods based on Artificial neural network for the load forecasting in order to limit the problematic of the Smart metering in Smart grids.
