Abstract
C. Ian Broom, Bsc, (member) took a degree in Engineering at Durham University and then worked in various branches of the aeronautical industry. He has been associated with Crofton Pumping station for over 40 years. He helped with the restoration and running of the engines, carried out detailed research into the history of the pumping engines and also acted as Chief Engineer at Crofton for five years.
