Abstract

Using a pyroelectric target Pyricon video tube, classical optics experiments are easily performed in the far infrared (at 10 and 337 µm in this work). Applications of the tube are numerous and one may visualize infrared laser modes and control plates that are opaque in the visible spectrum and transparent in some fields of the infrared spectrum.
