Abstract

Occlusion filling is a basic problem for multiview video generation from existing monocular video. The essential goal of this problem is to recover missing information about a scenes 3D structure and corresponding texture.We propose a method for content-aware deformation of the source view that ensures no disoccluded regions are visible in the synthesized views while also keeping visible distortions to a minimum. We formulate this problem in terms of global energy min-imization.
