Abstract

We present an alternative version of the Rational Functional Method (RFM) which can explicitly retrieve the Debye parameters of the material under test (MUT) without any data fitting. A simulation of the open-ended coaxial probe with the MUT is performed to obtain the reflection coefficient from 0.5 to 6 GHz. A newton-based inversion method is used to reconstruct the Debye parameters of the MUT, and the complex dielectric property (CDP) variation on the measurement spectrum is calculated via these model parameters.
