Abstract

Architecture and performance characteristics of an adaptive and programmable line equalizer are described. A digitally reconfigurable filter structure with an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is introduced. The versatile implementation of a wide AGC dynamic range and precise and quick adjustment for different conditions and different transmission bit rates in the range from 1kbps to 2mbps is described.
