Abstract

The mechanical models of the blood flow in the vessels with complicated forms are proposed. Four kinds of vessel pathologies are considered and simulated by means of FEM in the ABAQUS software application. The governing equations for Non-Newtonian liquid were derived and the semi-slip boundary condition was formulated for fluid-structure interaction. As a result of computer simulation the velocity and pressure distributions were obtained for pathological regions of vessels.
