Abstract
The management of thoracic vascular injuries can be challenging. Appropriate imaging can help guide the operative approach to access, vascular control, and reconstruction; however, many patients present hemodynamically unstable and these injuries are identified often during an empiric life-saving exploration. Options related to imaging, access, exposure, and reconstruction in stable and unstable patient groups are discussed.
