A new variable—trust abuse, the vulnerable aspect of choosing trust others

Abstract

Trust has been seen as a positive variable over the years. However, we find that it does not always produce good results. Based on the existing literature and the actual cases, this research put forward a new variable—trust abuse. We use too-much-of-a-good-thing effect, a meta-theoretical principle, to explain the new variable and give it a definition. We also explore the relevant variables of it and give the directions of future research.
