Abstract

How to provide service differentiation on the Internet is a hot research topic. One proposal is to provide loss rate differentiation by assigning levels of drop precedence to IP packets. In this paper, we propose a new AQM mechanism, weighted SAP (WSAP) to achieve this goal. WSAP is based on a new AQM algorithm simple adaptive proportional (SAP).
