Abstract

Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is well-known as the most effective tool for interactive education and training. Such kind of tools is essential for learning and practicing in high-speed rail system that engages very complex technologies. In this paper, we propose designing and developing of a high-speed railway system teaching platform that can simulate major railway subsystems include train service planning, timetabling, train utilization, and train operation and control. The teaching platform will provide realistic and clear demonstrations of a high-speed railway system by using Thailand’s first high-speed rail route.
