Modelling a Sustainable Approach toward Logistical Functions at PAL Aerospace Services Aircraft Maintenance in the UAE

Abstract

The research was developed to improve the logistical functions for further implement and enhancement-towards a selected corporation that serves in the field of aviation, maintenance, and logistics. The research conducted covers various methodologies that involve qualitative and quantitative approach enlightened through different literature review, articles, books, interviews, and journals. A survey was distributed to the workers, managers, and others in the selected corporation. It identified the importance of implementing Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) within any organization and demonstrated the vitality of establishing Standardized Operational Procedures that has to be completed when logistical and mobilization of goods functions are fulfilled. These functions would include the handling, transporting, and storage of all sort of goods, components, items, and parts. Alternative solutions and recommendations were provided to assist and enhance the current operations and activities that are completed within the selected service provider corporation in addition to any other similar corporations that may benefit from the research findings.
