Abstract

Underwater ambient noise consist of many signals generated by both natural and man made sources. These signals are spread over a wide range of frequencies. Thus, analysis and classification of the various components of ambient noise is an essential step in the process of de-noising underwater acoustic signals. This place a major role in the improvement of signal to noise ratio, which is an important characteristic of marine instruments.
