Abstract

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are commonly used for multimodal pain control after surgery. These medications work by selective or nonselective inhibition of cyclooxygenase, which has downstream effects on thromboxanes, prostaglandins, and prostacyclins.
