Abstract

Chylothorax is characterized by accumulation of the lymphatic fluid between pleural leaves, although the occurrence is rare, serious metabolic and immunologic disorders that can lead to a significant clinical problem. It is a strong evidence for the diagnosis of chylothorax in individuals of fed a normal diet when the milk-like pleural fluid (chylous) is detected. Chylous liquid was described in 1633 for the first time by Bartole (1) and ongoing process many etiological reasons revealed. Etiological reasons can be collected simply traumatic and non-traumatic causes as a two main topic. The real reason in the formation of Chylothorax is lymphatic ductus stenting integrity degredation or obstruction through any mechanism (2) . In terms of continuous losing fat-soluble vitamins, metabolites, water, and electrolytes are rich lymphatic fluid, can be an important cause of morbidity and mortality especially in children and people with other diseases. In this case, treatment should be initiated as soon as when the diagnosed. But, still the most appropriate treatment of chylothorax is debatable (3)
