Abstract

The coexistence of obesity and chronic kidney disease(CKD) has become increasingly common and hasbecome a significant public health concern. Thisliterature review aims to explore the relationshipbetween obesity and CKD, highlighting the potentialmechanisms underlying this association. The reviewincludes several studies that demonstrate that obesityis an independent risk factor for the development andprogression of CKD. Obesity-induced metabolicdisturbances such as hypertension, diabetes, anddyslipidemia are believed to play a crucial role in thepathogenesis of CKD. The review also suggests thatlifestyle interventions, including weight management, may be essential in preventing and managing thecomplications of these conditions. The study concludesthat early identification and management of theseconditions are critical to reducing the burden of CKDand obesity-related health problems.
