Abstract

Overload protection for electric facilities is a compulsory equipped function in general. Traditional methods may cut the power connection immediately for protection. In this case, however, the facilities may not return to usual work even the malfunction is removed. For this reason, alternative algorithms have been reported using feedback mechanism to resolve this problem. This paper reviews two major schemes based on a feedback principle.
