The system is modelled in outdoor environment using TINY OS based IRIS motes to measure the moisture level of the paddy field and to set the threshold value. MDA100CB sensor motes can measure up to -40°c to 80°c and operate at a range between 1.6 to 2.7 volts. The proposed scheme uses data visualization and monitoring tool MOTEVIEW 2.0f developed by crossbow technology.
