Abstract

Steady state space charge measurements were made on low density polyethylene samples, with and without TiO/sub 2/ additive. Space charge density profiles were obtained for isothermal samples and samples containing a temperature gradient. Steady state current density was also measured as a function of temperature and field; it appeared to be largely controlled by charge injection at the electrodes. Although the presence of TiO/sub 2/ additive altered the space charge density profile, no appreciable effect was observed on the conductivity or on its field and temperature dependence.
