Abstract
— This paper presents a new, exact, and closed-form expression for the bit error probability (BEP) of (cid:0) -QAM ( (cid:0) - ary quadrature amplitude modulation ) scheme considering the Rayleigh fading channel. It is also obtained a new, exact and closed-form expression for the BEP of an arbitrary R-QAM ( rectangular QAM) scheme subject to the Rayleigh fading.
