Abstract

This paper presents a simple analog control scheme for speed control of switched reluctance motor (SRM). It is designed to operate with minimum number of switching devices. It makes use of rotor position signals, speed signal, and current signals in the closed loop feedback control. The proposed scheme is useful for low power rating applications.
