AGROBIODIVERSIDADE E PRESERVAÇÃO DAS SEMENTES: A IMPORTÂNCIA DA SOCIEDADE EM REDE NA EFETIVAÇÃO DESSE DIREITO

Abstract

Brazil, located in Social South, is the country with an enormous wealth in biodiversity and needs different mechanisms from the law system to help in preservation of these natural resources, specially, the seed protection. This way, the network society can be used as a relevant instrument, considering that Brazil is also one of the countries with the highest number of Internet users in the world. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate in what way the network society in Brazilian scenario can make a relevant role in the fight for the feed preservation, which are the agrobiodiversity basis, taking as base theory Vandana Shiva and Juliana Ferraz da Rocha Santilli and Manuel Castells for the network society, using the deductive research approach through bibliographic and documental analysis method about the matter. For that, it was chosen to structure this paper in three chapters, bringing the agriculture activity panorama in Brazil in the first chapter; in the second one, understanding the agrobiodiversity and the feed preservation and; in the last one, verifying the Brazilian network society and its possibilities to contribute this 1 Mestranda em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria.
