. This paper explains the principle of operation, construction details and development prospects of MSU-MR apparatus series. These apparatuses are intended for operation on board of meteo satellites «Meteor-M» № 1 and № 2. MSU-MR uninterruptedly observes the Earth in six spectral bands with spatial resolution of 1 km in the 2950 km field of view.
