Abstract

This paper presents a system for automating and integrating the provisioning and validation of Ethernet point-to-point connectivity services over transport networks. The provisioning is based on standard control plane functionality. The service performance is validated using the BART tool for measuring capacity, extended to provide Ethernet measurement capabilities. We report on preliminary results from a proof-of-concept system implemented in a virtualized testbed.
