Abstract

We propose a packet aggregation method to meet the QoS demands of packets traversing backbone network. The paper clarifies the requirements of the packet aggregation through a discussion of the future direction of the use of the IP networks for network service providers. The implementable architecture meeting the derived requirements are also proposed.
