Then, the significance of improving of improving power quality which are nowadays applied to marine electric propulsion systems are analyzed. Finally, a new approach - the combination of active power factor compensator and series active filter aided by parallel passive filter - is proposed for marine electric propulsion system. Abstract
In this paper, the characteristics of a marine electric propulsion system are introduced, and the power quality actuality of the system is also interpreted.
