In both cases the general condition of patients improved and consciousness returned. After exchange transfusions with plasmapheresis the serum levels of bilirubin, urea and ammonia decreased. Abstract
In two cases of hepatic coma following advanced liver cirrhosis exchange transfusions were applied with plasmapheresis.
